Pay modelling

Jigsaw was asked by a central government department to develop a pay modelling system. We developed a system using Microsoft Access which allowed the client to input a list of pay and staffing changes for different groups over a period and produce a variety of reports showing new pay rates, costs, and effects on different groups of staff. The system was sufficiently flexible to remain in use for an extended period during the transition from incremental scales to pay spines and performance related pay. A similar system was adopted by an associated department.
